This isn’t going to be my usual 365 post, but rather more of a celebration post.
If you are a Fan of the Harry Potter book/movie series, you may know that today, July 31st is the birthday of the main character, Harry Potter, as well as the author, J.K. Rowling. In celebration of this very important date, an 8th book was released today. This book, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is actually a script for a play more than it is a novel and picks up 19 years after the end of book number 7.
As part of the promotion campaign, a large local bookseller hosted a special event offering give-always, Harry Potter trivia contests and other fun ending at 12:01am when they could sell the book to excited consumers.
My entire family enjoys the Harry Potter series, especially my youngest daughter, so there is no way that we weren’t going to pick up this book or attend the special event.
We ended up with two copies, one for me and one for my daughter. Unfortunately, I was too tired to get past act one, scene one. Hopefully this evening I can devote some time to delve into it properly.
