Today, I woke up at 4:30 in the morning to meet some friends downtown to capture the sunrise. Unfortunately, the sky was super clear and the sun came up behind a giant building, so sunrise turned out to be a bust, but we made the most out of it and walked along the river to see what else we could photograph.
While walking around, I decided to try my hand at creating a High Dynamic Range (HDR) image. HDR images are actually multiple images of the same subject with different exposures, combined together to create one image that looks more evocative or even surreal. You can find out more by reading Trey Radcliffe’s article on his website, http://www.stuckincustoms.com
This photo isn’t the best, it isn’t a great composition, and probably not the best to make into an HDR photo, but I had been intimidated to try it until this morning, and now that I realize how easy it is, I look forward to trying it again soon.
