Day 52 Theme: Pattern

My youngest daughter and I drove all around Jacksonville yesterday looking for something interesting to photograph, but didn’t have much luck. Maybe because we were tired or maybe we just really weren’t into it, either way, it was a long day without much photographic reward. Oh well, hopefully we will have better luck next time.

Just before we called it a day, we found a little “park” under the Dames Point Bridge — a 175 ft tall cable-stayed bridge over the St. John’s River on the north part of the city — and I took this shot very quickly (it really wasn’t somewhere I wanted to be for very long). My hope was that I would be able to take a shot of the actual bridge itself as I’ve seen some lovely shots of it in a number of Facebook groups I belong to, but instead, we found ourselves directly underneath it.

All was not lost though, as I really liked the patterns that the construction of the bridge made with both vertical and horizontal lines as well as the vanishing point.

Well, that’s all for today, I hope you enjoy it and I’ll see you later.
